We visited the local thrift shops again over the weekend in search for more vintage pillowcases. I found a few and two other goodies as well. Take a look...
I am so diggin' this jar! I almost walked out of the store without it. It's a funky olive green and in perfect condition.
***I need your help...***
Does anyone know anything about this piece? It has no manufacturer logo on it. Only "USA" on the bottom. I've been trying to do some research and no luck. Hmmmm....
It's such a fabulously funky piece, I LOVE it!
Oh looky! Fun-fun-fun!!! A Merry Mushroom cup from Sears and Roebuck Co.!
I found this sitting happily amongst the other treasures. It was screaming, "Take me! Take me!". Like a little girl in a candy shop, I quickly grabbed it and knew instantly who I had to give this to... my dear friend, Carmen!!!
She actually has the Merry Mushroom Jars in her shop and this would be perfect for her collection.
So no teacups this time. ((boo)) Slim pickin's this time around. I'll definitely have the funky green jar at the show.
Okie-dokie, I'll be back with more happy finds to share with you! Do come back!!!
Okay, I'm smokin' some serious crack right now.
I made 25 repurposed pillowcase shopping bags yesterday. YES... 25...
I scoured just about every thrift shop in the southbay area for pillowcases (sorry, if you're lookin' for pillowcases and can't find 'em, it's because of me). There for the Girls Day In event next Saturday. So for the first 25 people to attend will receive this swag bag filled with other goodies from other vendors.
Each bag has gussets at the bottom.
Nice thick straps.
And my pretty label (hee-hee).
I've neglected my blog and I'm sorry. I've been busily (that's a word, right? My brain is slowly shutting down) making all kinds of goodies for my first show. Things will get back to normal once this is said and done... it will-IT WILL!
Here's a few more goodies I will have at the show...
I love half aprons. Mine are designed to be worn high, just below the breast. It's so much more flattering that way and it frames your lady bits very nicely!
Oh look at the nice bum! Really! It also frames the bottom perfectly... big or small... peek a boo!
I'm trying to use all of my fabric, so when I found this in my stack I was soooo happy! This fabric just screams retro cuteness!
Polka dots, flowers and plaid... you can't go wrong.
Oh hello there... I tell you... wear this around the house and your "lovey" will thank you for it!
Mike helped pick out this fabric. God, What would I do without him. Such a girly apron. It's just so cute-cute, I wanna hug the mannequin (whoa... did I say that out loud?).
A very simple design and very comfy on. I love my other design, but this one is really comfortable to wear. Not only that, through on a pair of jeans, cute little top and cardigan and WALLAH! A seriously cute outfit that'll turn heads!
While hunting for pillowcases, I found two more teacups to add to my collection.
This one is my favorite.
I wonder what life these cups lived. What stories they carry.
I'm not too sure if I want to make them into teacup candles or just leave them as they are. Think. Think. Think.
I plan to have them at the show as well.

Okay, you've seen a few of my goodies I will have at the show. Now, I must press on and sew some more!!! Anybody got crack?

Oh before I go...
I know you're out there!
Drop me a comment good or bad (well not too bad)!
You're killing me with all the silence!!!
We went thrift shopping over the weekend and look at the goodies we found...
Fun containers for my workroom...
It wasn't until I got home when I realize that this set didn't match. Grrrrrr... still beautiful, even for the untrained eye!
Okay, this one is a set! Both teacups are in excellent condition.
Cute-cute sugar bowl!
I have few ideas for the teacups and sugar bowls. Once I'm done, they will make perfect holiday gifts! Before I get started, I was advised by my sister to do a little research on the china to see if it's worth anything.
Any suggestions as to where I should look for info? This is new to me.
