My days are numbered...
my ankles are swollen, I waddle and the contractions are getting stronger.
*sigh*
With what little energy I have, I managed to muster up a crib bumper and blanket for the crib.
I have been wanting to use my vintage sheets for something special and crib linens were the perfect thing!
Oh my dear friends, she's coming.
I can't wait for the day to finally meet her and hold her in my arms.

Hello!
I wanted to make a gown to match the robe. I also wanted the gown to be "nursing" friendly. Something simple, quick to make and comfy.
Voila!
I used a nursing camisole, left over fabric from the robe and a little strip of complimenting fabric for a bit of style.
The only thing is that this complimenting fabric isn't the same color as the one on the robe. I didn't have enough... drats!
Now here's my dilemma...
the robe is shorter than the gown and the complimenting fabrics aren't the same color. Now I'm thinking I should wear them separately. Maybe just bring the gown and a cardigan? Oh dear... so silly to worry about what to wear, really.
But what do you think?

My goodness, time is flying by and I'm trying desperately to get everything done before baby comes. As I was packing my bag for the hospital, I realized I haven't got a thing to wear. Oh yes-yes, I could just wear the fashionable gowns they have to offer, but puh-lease... really now...
So setting aside some time, I felt this was a good opportunity to make a robe. Ever since I had purchased this lovely Japanese craft book, I wanted to make this dress pattern into a spring/summer robe, but of course with a gazillion projects and ideas on my plate, this one had to wait. But wait no more!!! *hee-hee*
So here's the book...

This fabric is actually a thrift find. A king size flat sheet in excellent condition (and it doesn't even smell like the thrift store)!
I added a little flair here...

and...
TA-DAH!!!
A fun little robe to cover my post preggy body.
Ah... I was so happy once it was complete. As I was putting it on, I then realized, I haven't got a gown to match!
Oh dear.
So back to the sewing board I go...
and I'll show you what I made next tomorrow!

My oh my... Monday already?!

If it's one thing I remember when my girls were wee ones, is that you can never have too many bibs.
So I came up with a new design and I think this one is a keeper.
I really dig the shape...
and I added a small pocket on the backside to slip your fingers in when you need to wipe that cute messy face.
I bought diaper cloth fabric from JoAnn's Fabric and doubled it for the backside...
and used snaps for the closure. A very easy pattern and lickety-split fast to make.
I.AM.PLEASED.
So I have a plan... I want to share the pattern, but it will have a "twist" to it. Curious? Keep your eyes peeled...

Now on to other goodies for baby...
Look at these adorable bottoms! I saw the pattern on Made-By-Rae blog and I had have it. Cute, ay? And talk about easy... you can whip up a few of these babies in a day and not break a sweat. For sure!

Hello my friend!
How was your weekend? A lovely one, I hope!
As for me, I managed to have some sewing time and made a dress for moi!
It's the same design from my maternity blouses (seen over here). I just made it a wee bit longer in length. I really like how it fits and it feels soooo comfy on. As soon as I finished the last stitch, I literally threw it on, and headed out the door to a family BBQ with a yellow cardigan and sandals.

I love it soooo much, I want to share the pattern with you! Would you like to make one for yourself? Not pregnant? No problem-o! Preggy or not, I think this baby will look good on any lovely lady... such as yourself!
