This has been on my brain for quite some time. Running. My dad is a runner. He's been running since his high school years and now, he's 74 and still runs on average 4 miles three times a week. Man! Why can't I do that?! I see people everyday running and every time I would mumble, "That should be me".
So Michael and myself had made a new year resolution to each other. To live a healthier lifestyle and run. Okay, so it's day 15 into the year and have I kept up my resolution? Nope. Have I even tried to make an attempt? Nope. I have a TON of excuses to convince myself not to exercise. UGH...
Okay, so I'm just going to do it. STOP dreaming about doing it. STOP making excuses. JUST. DO. IT. I have to! Too much thinking about it stops me. Plus my "fat" jeans are now starting to feel tight on me-YIKES!
So I have a question... what is the best way to get started running? Is there a formula? Do you run for 1 minute and walk 2 minutes and then build from there? What are some suggestions... strategies to be a successful runner? If you run or even use to run, I would love to hear your story.
Have a wonderful weekend my friends.
